Hitchin Lavender Farm


Recently I went to Hitchin Lavender farm. When you walk in, you see rows and rows of fresh lavender as well as plenty of sunflowers (which are one of my favourite flowers fyi).

I used to have a lot of trouble sleeping, which probably seems strange to people who know me now and my hectic napping schedule. I’ve always used lavender, so it felt kind of nice to pick your own.

You get a bag & some scissors and go picking; there are different varieties to chose from. It might just be the lavender, but it’s a relaxing experience. There’s picnic benches dotted about if you wanted to bring some food, but I love the cafe. They sell lavender products and cake. The cake is good, and so is the coronation chicken sandwich. Of course they do drinks, other food and cream tea.
