AW15 Trend: Velvet

I love velvet. For me, it all started with the velvet boots going up and down the catwalk earlier this year. But now velvet can feature in so many different ways in your wardrobe this season. Less gothic velvet, more light or contrasted with delicate materials. Velvet jackets or coloured bags with a delicate chain.

Softly, softly, say Giorgio Armani, Alexander Wang and Christopher Kane. In suits, flares, dresses and capes, rich coloured velvet popped up at the shows in every city – just in time for cocktail hour – Marie Claire

Whilst Christopher Kane, Balmain and Emilio Pucci have been leading the way on the Designer side of things, Topshop and ASOS have perfectly showcased this AW trend.
