Hydration in particular can help soothe skin from harsh cleansers or blemish control solutions. Choosing the right moisturiser took me a while, switching between organic, oil free and acne prone solutions. My Top Picks

1. Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Moisturiser

My current go-to moisturiser, leaves my skin feeling hydrated and does well to control oil throughout the day. It’s very gentle on the skin if you have sensitive skin. A little goes a long way too, so you won’t be constantly re-purchasing!

2. Amie Morning Dew Matte Finish Moisturiser

This is by far the best for a ‘mattifying’ effect. It uses almost entirely natural ingredients too, something I’m trying to be more conscious of. I love the subtle, floral fragrance of this but if you’re after fragrance-free this might not be for you.

 3. Olay Regenerist Replenishing Cream

If I’ve been using lots of blemish treatments, I like to use this Olay cream. It makes my skin feel soft and smooth – ideal after harsh treatments. Despite not being oil-free, it does control shine extremely well.
